CA infographic 1.26.15The Culinary Arts Certificate training through the Northeast Resiliency Consortium  provided students with hands-on training in Food Preparation and the skills to earn state and nationally recognized certificates in Food Safety and Food Production. Students were introduced to the various components of the Food Service Industry, including fundamental cooking terminology, techniques and theories.

Participants who successfully completed this program will earn NRAEF Servsafe, NYC Department of Health Food Handlers Certificate, NRAEF Food Production Certificate and the Food Safety and Sanitation Certification. Credits earned can be applied to a Culinary Arts A.A.S.CULINARY1

Eligible students were qualified to receive enhanced services through NRC including:

  • Full suite of employment readiness services
  • Job placement assistance
  • College enrollment assistance
  • Personal supportive services
  • Access to NRC’s textbook lending library
  • Job retention services
