Working with Couples and Families using a Systemic Approach

November 7, 2021 @ 9:30 am - 1:30 pm

This CE workshop will begin with a brief history of the systems theories developed by leading clinicians, Murray Bowen, Salvador Minuchin, James Boszormenyi-Nagy and Virginia Satir. While working with families and couples’ systems theories, the workshop will explore beliefs on how couples are identified, how metaphors are recognized, how alliances are formed, and the specific tools and techniques to provide the the appropriate interventions while working with the families. Clinicians who are interested in learning more about how systemic theories work effectively, including genograms, for resolution to family function would benefit from this instruction.
