High School Equivalency Programs

Comprehensive High School Equivalency (HSE) Program

This is an intensive, full-time course that helps students develop skills in math, social studies, science, reading and writing in preparation for the TASC exam. Students also learn test-taking strategies to prepare for the Official Assessment Readiness Test (required to be eligible to take the NYS TASC exam).

Eligibility
Students must be at least 18 years of age to enroll and at least 19 to take the TASC exam.
All students must pass the Official Assessment Readiness Test.

Cost
Fall semester (12 weeks): $590
Winter and Spring semesters (10 weeks, each) $495
Summer semester (6 weeks): $280

Diploma Now – Alternative High School Equivalency (AHSEP) Preparation Program

This is an intensive, full-time TASC preparation program that is targeted to out-of-school youth who want to earn their HSE diploma. Students learn test-taking strategies to prepare for the Official Assessment Readiness Test (required to be eligible to take the NYS TASC exam).

Eligibility
Students must be 17.5-20 years of age. They must have a TABE reading score of at least 9.0 or higher, and write an essay. Each student (or parent/guardian) is required to sign a Student Responsibilities Form at the commencement of classes.

$100 per semester
