Contextualized ESL & Food Handlers Program

Targeted to ESL learners, the Contextualized ESL & Food Handlers Program focuses on helping students improve their English speaking skills while learning cooking techniques and food preparation skills. Students also study for the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and nationally-recognized ServSafe certifications, in preparation for careers in the Food Service Industry. Students also learn how to write resumes and develop interviewing skills. Strides to Success also provides counseling, referrals and job placement services.

Eligibility
Students must be English language learners, demonstrating existing intermediate to high levels of English language skills.

Cost
Free to eligible applicants.
