This course examines the impact COVID-19 has had on the mental health of the medically fragile population. Through a health equity lens, we will explore implicit biases regarding medical health conditions, race, class and organizational barriers. Mental health providers are encouraged to engage in dialogue about challenges they faced pre COVID-19 with their clients and create a client centered plan to help medically fragile clients with mental health concerns thrive during post COVID-19.
