SIU Pre-Apprenticeship Program
The SIU Pre-Apprenticeship training is a free program for people interested in becoming Merchant Mariners and entering the SIU Apprenticeship Program. To be eligible, you must be at least 18 years old and have a valid passport. Before applying, you will have to take and pass the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) with a score of at least 9.
