New disciplines and courses of study have emerged to prepare students for the necessary work of taking on a broken food system and the policies that disproportionately affect low income communities and communities of color. But what are the pathways to securing jobs in this field? What lessons can be learned from those currently doing this work? Join us for a panel discussion featuring professionals working in food policy and food systems change. Learn about the paths they’ve taken to where they are now and how you can leverage your coursework, internship experiences and current work placements to gain the skills and experience you’ll need to get jobs in this growing field.

Are you an education professional looking for more career and college resources for your students? The Urban Agriculture and Green Careers Fair is the second session of Grow to Learn’s two part series on careers in urban agriculture. Talk with industry professionals, college and university staff, and local community organizations about available career pathways in the field. Attend our short seminars on topics ranging from RainWater Havesting Systems to Aquaculture to Solar Energy Systems. Meet other students and education professionals who are interested in expanding opportunities in this field. Please be prepared to present photo I.D. at the entrance – this will be required to gain access to the event.
